Explorers from our local units Aquila and Scorpio recently headed to Polyapes campsite for the weekend, to take part in Theme Park Camp 2022.
As well as a weekend of camping together, the main event was a trip to Thorpe Park where everyone spent the day on rollercoasters and rides. They even went on Stealth, the UK's fastest rollercoaster which goes from 0 to 80 miles per hour in less than 2 seconds!
Back at the site, there was a silent disco, campfire, caving experience and the chance to meet some exotic animals too. It was a great weekend and we're already looking forward to next time. Thanks to Summit Scout Network and the camp organisers for making it possible.
