Joining Scouts

Joining Scouts

To join a Scout troop, you'll need to register your child with your local group. There are 8 groups across the Godalming area.

If your child has already been part of Cubs, speak to the leaders about the process for moving on to Scouts in your group.

Frequently asked questions:

How do I register to join Scouts?

The first step is to register your interest, either through the Scouts joining form or directly with the group you're looking to join.

You can see a full list of all the groups in Godalming here.

Many groups are operating at full capacity, which means that sometimes you'll need to join a waiting list before your child can join. Find out more about how waiting lists work here.

Is there a uniform?

The Scouts uniform is a green shirt and group neckerchief. This can all be purchased from the Godalming Scout Shop.

Can girls join?

We're proud to be an organisation that supports young people of all genders. Girls can join Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers and learn the life skills they need to succeed. Find out more here.
