Congratulations to Our Volunteers Receiving St George's Day Awards

Congratulations are in order for 4 of our district volunteers who have been awarded good service awards.

A huge well done to four of our district volunteers for being listed on the St George's Day role of honour and achieving good service awards.

Hugh Davies has been awarded the silver acorn which is presented to volunteers in scouts in recognition of distinguished service. Hugh is a dedicated member of the appointments advisory committee as well as being part of the Godalming active support unit.

Also receiving the silver acorn is David Fishlock. David is Godalming's Assistant District Commissioner for the scout section and does outstanding work supporting and delivering scouting experiences for young people aged 10 - 14.

Mike Mandeville is volunteers in the Godalming scout shop and is the district badge secretory. He works hard to supply badges to groups and sections across the district and has received the silver acorn in recognition of everything he does.

The bar to the silver acorn is only awarded after the recipient has already received their silver acorn award which recognises further distinguished service. Congratulations to district active support member Heather Pollard for this big achievement.

You can take a look at all of the St George's Day awards on the 2019 Roll of Honour.
